Sponsor a child FAQ
You can opt out of sponsorship at any time. When that happens, we immediately look for a new sponsor for your child who will continue with the child’s sponsorship.
To opt out, you only have to contact us and let us know.
A sponsorship will last for as long as a child stays in school. Secondary education takes 4 years to complete; Tertiary education varies with institutions: middle-level colleges take 3 years, Most university programs take 4 years, some courses go for 6 years.
We advise every sponsor promptly before a sponsorship program begins.
Secondary education costs an average of 600 USD per year. You have the option of picking from a weekly, monthly or yearly payment plan.
We advise you on the cost of tertiary education, once we know the institution in which your child has been offered admission.
The child you sponsor has only you! We link every child to one specific sponsor. As a sponsor, however, you can decide to help more than one child.
You may also decide not to commit to any specific child but offer a one off donation.
Most organizations focus on primary school children. We mainly help children access secondary education and tertiary education.
It generally costs more to attend secondary schools and colleges than it does primary schools.
Our sponsorship package includes tuition fee, healthy food, and medical care.
The child you sponsor will access secondary and tertiary education, have 3 healthy meals a day and access medical care.
At Ofyeneda, we make it possible for you as a sponsor to communicate with your child. We also furnish you with every detail relating to the child you sponsor including his or her school and head teacher.
It is, therefore, easy to counter check if your sponsorship actually gets to the child.
